A 34-foot inflatable creature, six dancers and more than 100 flags fill Kenny Scharf’s free public art exhibition, on view through November 1. The exhibition also includes lobby murals, a Cosmic Cavern installation and free Saturday workshops where children paint planters for a public Sunshine Cavern.

Built: 1918–1919, during a military construction program begun in World War I.
Freight trains once ran beneath the loading balconies of this Sunset Park military depot. Its history connects wartime shipping, confiscated Prohibition liquor and Elvis Presley’s departure with a working campus for manufacturing, climate technology and public art.

A Frozen Surfboard in Times Square Calls Attention to AntarcticaWhat: The Frozen Surfboard, a one-day public installation built around a surfboard used during a Gauchos del Mar expedition to Antarctica.

Where: Father Duffy Square in Times Square, at Seventh Avenue and West 47th Street.
A surfboard sealed in melting ice brought the Antarctica - Domain One film and a proposed Southern Ocean marine protected area to Times Square.
