THE KONARK WHEEL Built in the 13th century, the Konark Sun Temple (a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site) is a monumentai representation of the chariot of the Sun God. Its 24 wheels are decorated with symbolic designs and led by seven horses symbolizing time. This temple is located on the Eastern shores of the Indian state of Odisha. A beautiful example of the intricacies of temple architecture and art of India. A masterpiece of creative genius that took 12 years to build by 12,000 artisans.
