Elephants in the Sky: The Dumbo Drop - Brooklyn @dumbobrooklyn @ps307brooklyn #brooklynevents

Dumbo Drop is an annual tradition where thousands of toy elephants parachute down from the skies of Dumbo onto Washington Street in Brooklyn.

The event is organized for a good cause – supporting Dumbo’s Title 1 public schools: PS307 Elementary School and The Dock Street Middle School.

Each ticket guarantees a spot on the block of Washington Street between Front Street and Water Street, a souvenir elephant/parachute to take home, and automatic entry into that Drop’s prize drawing.

There’s also a free kids zone/block party in the Dumbo Archway.

Jellyband entertained the crowd with new and old tunes. Before the drop, the Brooklyn Diamonds showed off their dance drills, while New York City’s beloved drum line band, Fogo Azul, performed on the cobblestone-paved street as toy elephants rained down on them.
