CarPark returned to Lower Manhattan on October 19, 2024, for its second gathering at Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty Street. The free morning event mixed rare collector vehicles, modern performance cars, vintage European models, and family programming in a civic plaza better known for monumental art and modernist architecture.

What to Know

A Four-Hour Public Gathering

The October 19 event ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission was free, and the open-plaza format allowed passersby, families, collectors, and dedicated enthusiasts to occupy the same space.

Variety Defined the Display

The selection crossed periods and categories rather than functioning as a single-marque show. Sports cars, vintage European models, supercars, and unusual enthusiast vehicles were presented together.

Music Was Part of the Program

The Shag Horns performed live brass arrangements, giving the morning the atmosphere of a neighborhood gathering rather than a static concours. Limited-edition posters by automotive artist Lane Skelton added a collectible design element.

A Collaborative Production

The event joined CarPark with Polestar Manhattan, Hagerty, Paddock NYC, Alamo Drafthouse, QBS, and the Fosun Plaza team. That mix of automotive, cultural, and property partners helped broaden the audience.

Art and Architecture Framed the Cars

Fosun Plaza sits within the 28 Liberty complex. Jean Dubuffet's Group of Four Trees and Isamu Noguchi's sunken garden gave the temporary vehicle display a permanent modernist backdrop.

CarPark Built a Social Format

Founded by Rob Blackman, Jeffrey Einhorn, and Liz Gilchrist, CarPark organized the gathering around conversation and access. The cars were the attraction, but the event's larger purpose was to connect the people and creative culture around them.
