Thousands of toy elephants descended beneath miniature parachutes over Washington Street on May 30, 2025, as the ninth annual Dumbo Drop turned one of Brooklyn's most recognizable blocks into a public-school fundraiser. Two ticketed drops, a free block party, local food, music, children's activities, and sweepstakes prizes joined spectacle with direct support for P.S. 307 Elementary School and the Dock Street School for STEAM Studies.

What to Know
Two Drops Divided the Evening
Ticket holders entered car-free Washington Street for drops at 5 and 7 p.m. The controlled viewing areas were separate from the free block party in the Dumbo Archway.
Every Elephant Supported Two Schools
Ticket proceeds funded educational programs at P.S. 307 and the Dock Street School, Title I public schools serving Dumbo and Vinegar Hill. Each ticket also included a souvenir elephant and a sweepstakes entry.

The Brooklyn artist supplied the 2025 parachute pattern, making thousands of small descending objects parts of one temporary public artwork.
The Archway Became a Free Festival
More than 30 children's activities, live music, dance, food vendors, a beer garden, crafts, science demonstrations, and a Kids Zone extended the fundraiser beyond the ticketed drops.
