TheNakedNYC coverage
TheNakedNYC documented the crowds, the two drops, and toy elephants descending over Washington Street.
Parachutes filled the view toward the Manhattan Bridge during the neighborhood fundraiser.
What to Know
Two Chances to Watch
Ticket holders entered controlled viewing areas on car-free Washington Street for the two evening drops. The Archway block party was separate and open without a drop ticket.
The Schools Behind the Fundraiser
Proceeds supported P.S. 307 and the Dock Street School, Title I public schools serving Dumbo and Vinegar Hill. Each ticket included a souvenir elephant and a sweepstakes entry.
Art on the Parachutes
Brooklyn artist Zeph Farmby designed the 2025 parachute pattern. Repeated across the descending elephants, the design turned the drop into a temporary shared artwork.
A Festival Beneath the Archway
The free party included more than 30 children's activities alongside live music, dance, food vendors, a beer garden, crafts, science demonstrations, and a Kids Zone.
Prizes From the Neighborhood
Elephants landing closest to a target qualified for dining, fitness, and experience packages. The official Dumbo Drop site provides event and sweepstakes information.
