The Garden at 550 Madison hosted New York City's first Drivable Art Exhibition from October 25 through November 1, 2024. Hedley Studios presented three hand-built electric vehicles at three-quarter scale: a Bugatti Baby II, Ferrari Testa Rossa J, and Aston Martin DB5 J based on the No Time to Die edition.

What to Know
Three Automotive Histories
The display drew from a 1920s racing landmark, a 1950s Ferrari sports car, and the Aston Martin closely associated with James Bond. Seen together, the vehicles compressed four decades of design into one installation.
Three-Quarter Scale, Full Detail
Each model was built at three-quarter scale. Their reduced dimensions made the engineering legible at close range without treating the cars as simplified toys.
They Were Made to Move
The recreations were electric and drivable. Hedley combined functional chassis and controls with carefully finished bodies, interiors, hardware, and manufacturer-specific visual details.
Built With the Original Marques
Hedley developed the limited-edition models in collaboration with Bugatti, Ferrari, and Aston Martin. The makers used authentic colors, materials, and design references to connect the smaller vehicles to their full-size counterparts.
Specialists Interpreted the Work
Hedley Ambassadors were stationed in the garden to explain the design and production histories. Their presence made the free display operate partly as an exhibition and partly as a technical demonstration.
A Public Garden Hosted the Debut
The half-acre Garden at 550 Madison placed the cars inside a landscaped Midtown room beneath the building's Chippendale roofline. 550 Madison's exhibition record confirms the three models and their New York debut.
