🖼️ Jack Shainman Gallery presents “Amalgams and Graphts,” a solo exhibition by American artist Nick Cave. This immersive experience explores themes of growth, resistance, and the connection between humanity and nature. Cave’s work features tall bronze sculptures and mixed-media assemblages that incorporate natural elements like birds, trees, and flowers, creating compositions that evoke a sense of awe and spirituality.

• Amalgam (Origin):

Nearly 26 feet tall bronze sculpture. Incorporates branches, birds, and flowers. Evokes themes of growth and spirituality.

• Amalgam (Plot):

Features two bronze figures lying side by side. One figure faces up with a garden plot in place of its visage. Represents resistance and renewal.

• Graphts Series:

Mixed-media assemblages with needlepoint portraits. Combines vintage serving trays and florals. First time Cave reveals a recognizable self in his work.
