What to Know
Five Days at Javits
The 2024 show ran from January 24 through January 28 at the Javits Center in Manhattan. Its exhibition floor brought boat manufacturers, dealers, equipment suppliers, demonstrations, and visitor activities into one indoor event.
Boats Across the Scale
The range began with compact 18-foot runabouts and extended to large cruising yachts. Visitors could compare center consoles, sport boats, personal watercraft, family cruisers, wake-sports boats, electronics, and marine equipment in one place.
The Pardo 52 GT
The 52-foot Pardo 52 GT was presented as the 2024 Queen of the Show. The long-distance cruising yacht combined an open deck profile with enclosed living space, and the show listed its price at approximately $2 million for that edition.
A High-Powered Lineup
Other featured boats included the Pursuit S428 with four Yamaha 425 XTO engines, the 43-foot Formula 430 SSC crossover, the Beneteau Gran Turismo 45, the Cigarette 41 Nighthawk, and the Solaris 44 Open. Each represented a different balance of speed, fishing, cruising, and onboard comfort.
A Hands-On Beach Club
The Boating Beach Club let visitors age 10 and older try stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking without prior experience. A paddle pool, beach games, and nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinks turned part of the convention floor into an introductory on-water activity area.
Lessons for New Boaters
Fred's Shed How-To Center hosted free Boating 101 instruction and daily seminars. Sessions covered getting started, operation, service, maintenance, upgrades, and other decisions that follow the purchase of a boat.
Conservation on the Floor
The Conservation Village, hosted by Clean Earth Project, focused on waste reduction and cleaner waterways. An opening-night party also supported Billion Oyster Project, connecting the recreational boating event with New York Harbor restoration.
Activities for Families
Kids could build a model boat and climb aboard display vessels. On January 24, the show's Saluting Our Heroes program offered free admission to active-duty and veteran military members, eligible first responders, and members of the United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary.
