What to Know
A Two-Day Manhattan Show
The 2024 edition ran January 27 and 28 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 429 11th Avenue. The event combined destination exhibits, travel companies, live programming, seminars, and trip-planning resources on one convention floor.
Hundreds of Travel Brands
More than 550 destinations, tour companies, cruise lines, and travel providers participated. The mix let visitors compare international trips, domestic destinations, cruises, guided tours, outdoor travel, and specialized experiences directly with representatives.
More Than 60 Seminars
The weekend schedule included over 60 travel seminars. Sessions addressed destinations, planning, practical advice, industry trends, and the details travelers weigh before choosing or booking a trip.
Four Headline Speakers
The announced keynote lineup included Rick Steves, Phil Rosenthal, Peter Greenberg, and Pauline Frommer. Their work spans guidebooks, television, investigative reporting, food, and destination journalism, giving the speaker program several distinct approaches to travel.
Outdoor Adventure Focus
The Outdoor Adventure Pavilion concentrated on hiking, biking, camping, glamping, whitewater rafting, climbing, and related trips. The pavilion was sponsored by the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
Water Travel in One Pavilion
The Dive & Water Sports Pavilion covered scuba diving, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and other water-based travel. PADI sponsored the area, which addressed both experienced participants and people considering a first activity-focused trip.
An LGBTQ Travel Pavilion
The New York LGBTQ Pavilion gathered destinations, tour operators, and travel providers serving LGBTQ travelers. It placed specialized planning resources near the Global Beats Stage and within the larger destination marketplace.
Culture Shared the Floor
TheNakedNYC photographs show Thai performers, a large ceremonial figure, a singer on the Global Beats Stage, and representatives from destinations across the United States and abroad. These presentations gave visitors cultural context alongside brochures, maps, and booking information.
A Show Built for Planning
The 2024 program advertised show-only deals and direct access to travel specialists. Those offers belonged to that edition; the official New York Travel Show page carries dates, speakers, exhibitors, and ticket details for future shows.
