Whitehall Street Station is a New York City Subway station complex in Lower Manhattan, serving the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line and the BMT Broadway Line. It is located near the southern tip of Manhattan Island, close to Battery Park and the Staten Island Ferry terminal. Staten Island Ferry is a free passenger ferry service that operates between St. George on Staten Island and Whitehall Street in Lower Manhattan. It runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and carries over 20 million passengers annually. The ferry ride takes about 25 minutes and offers scenic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the New York Harbor.
Battery Park City is a mainly residential neighborhood on the west side of Lower Manhattan, built on reclaimed land along the Hudson River. It covers 92 acres and features numerous parks, gardens, and waterfront esplanades. It also contains several commercial and cultural buildings, such as Brookfield Place, the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and the Irish Hunger Memorial56 Brookfield Place is a shopping center and office complex in Battery Park City, formerly known as the World Financial Center. It consists of four granite and glass towers that house various corporate headquarters, as well as a Winter Garden Atrium that hosts events and exhibitions. It also offers a variety of dining options, luxury stores, and public art installations.
Chambers Street Station is an express station on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Chambers Street and West Broadway in Lower Manhattan. It is served by the 1, 2, and 3 trains at all times. The station has two island platforms and four tracks, as well as elevators for accessibility.
3 train to Times Square 42nd Street is a subway service that runs on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line from Harlem to Brooklyn via Lower Manhattan. It operates express in Manhattan except late nights, when it runs local. The Times Square 42nd Street station is a major transfer point for many other subway lines, as well as a popular tourist destination.
Times Square is a major commercial intersection and entertainment hub in Midtown Manhattan, formed by the junction of Broadway, Seventh Avenue, and 42nd Street. It is brightly lit by numerous digital billboards and advertisements, and attracts millions of visitors every year. It is also the center of the Broadway Theater District and the site of the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop.
